Black Authors Against AI and Data Centers (BAAAD)

Join these local African American authors to discuss the multi-faceted threat of data centers to our democracy, culture, economy and environment. We will focus on how, in particular, Black communities are on the frontlines for harm. We will also discuss effective strategies for winning fights to block data centers, including how authors are fighting back against AI piracy. Finally, the panel will include info on the BAAAD campaign for Black authors to pledge to donate 1% of any money they receive from lawsuits against AI to help fund Black organizations fighting AI and data centers.
