Cultural Warriors: Punk and Popular Music as Social Revolution

In this workshop we will discuss David Vila Diéguez's book Spanish Punk: Screaming for Democracy in a Postdictatorial State and various other topics discussing the role of culture, and more specifically popular music, in social revolutions. In other words, we will be trying to answer the following questions from different perspectives: Can a musical movement or a song change the world?
