SF TANC Orchestra

An acoustic performance of radical labor music and songs of resistance drawn from the IWW Little Red Songbook, connecting historical worker struggles to today's housing battles in San Francisco. Facing the modern monsters of displacement, real estate speculation, and economic insecurity, members of the San Francisco Tenants and Neighborhood Councils (TANC) use the living tradition of working-class song to build collective courage. Through stripped-down acoustic instruments and shared song, this performance aims to lift spirits, spark conversation around local tenant organizing, and keep a vibrant culture of resistance alive.
