By understanding production systems and supply chains, and drawing on our own experience, logistics workers can identify chokepoints and vulnerabilities that give us leverage to win. Historically, workers have used this power to take political positions and even to block arms from being shipped to war zones. Examples include ILWU militants refusing to handle shipments to Central America in the 1980's, international solidarity actions stopping the movement of weapons to Gaza, and the mass strike of Italian workers in September 2025 when millions blocked ports, train stations and major roads. These lessons apply to the war on Iran today. This workshop will bring the experiences of veteran organizers to the project of identifying choke points and key areas of leverage to empower workers to act in solidarity against the global monster of war.
