ZINN 23 FUNDRAISING DRIVE

Were you browsing your public library or local radical bookstore the first time you flipped through the pages of A People’s History of the United States? Or maybe you had a teacher in high school or college assign chapters from the book?

What would happen if that library could no longer have this book on the shelves because of book bans? Or the radical leftist bookstore closed after volunteer workers were attacked by neo-nazis? Or your queer feminist high school teacher or favorite Latinx adjunct professor lost their job because they taught labor history?

The Howard Zinn Book Fair, happening December 3, 2023 at San Francisco City College Mission Campus (1125 Valencia St, San Francisco), is where you’ll find books and authors, art and artists, activist and academic speakers, and panel presentations and interactive workshops keeping people’s history and action alive and kicking no matter who is in the White House and no matter what laws are or aren’t passed.

Help make this year’s book fair a success by clicking on the donate button now. Your donation of any amount will ensure the volunteer coordinating committee can continue to expand accessibility and disability justice, can provide travel stipends for presenters, can have childcare that includes a drag queen story hour, and can create a welcoming community-based event.

Our total goal is $25,000 between now and November 19th. Donations are being raised through our social media campaign, event table reservation, as well as from foundation, union, and other organizational support.

Please donate what you can today!

If you work for an organization that can make a larger donation, contact zinnbookfair@gmail.com
